Royal Diadem II
A true Northumbrian Fishing Coble.
She was built using traditional larch planks on oak frames as a sailing Coble by J&J Harrison at Amble in 1948.
Originally used for fishing on the northeast (Newton by the Sea) coast and registered as BK-255 – as original to maintain her historic significance by this Trust as a non commercial fishing boat.
Owned and carefully maintained by North East Maritime Trust, her future as a great example of traditional fishing and sailing is assured.
