North East Maritime Trust

Working to preserve the wooden vessels and the maritime skills of the North East of England

North East Maritime Trust

Welcome to the only official North East Maritime Trust website.  Based in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, England, we restore repair, maintain and sail important historic boats.

Our volunteers can participate in all aspects of boat building and care.  Every week we offer hands on training and skills development, keeping alive the traditions of wooden boats on the North East coast. We also hold regular sailing days, and educational and promotional events.

Why not join our friendly team of volunteers?
